Can I put 2 10's on a bose rear factory rear shelf???

I have the factory bose shelf that covers the big hole in the hatch so the trunk is just on big flat surface, also my t-top bag is back there,I have a pioneer 180 watt reciever,it has a amp output,I was thinking an amp mounted where the t-top bag is and 2 10's on the shelf is this feasible??I can install this my self,I just wanted some feedback

That's basically like a plate except even cheaper and flimsier.

And, let's all say it together...

"Plates suck!"

First Jimbo or whatever I have a plate in the back of my car with 2 12's and a PPI A-6 hooked to them And it's the best system in town so what do you have in the back of your car a HATCH BACK box? THEY SUCK!!!! The only thing out there that is better then a plate is the box that fits into the well....As for cutting up a BOSE panel i wouldn't if you want a plate there easy enough to find at any car audio store i've seen people cut into those plastic covers and it looks and sounds horrible.....

Thank you for telling me that my stereo sucks. I hadn't realized it until you were kind enough to inform me.

Not that it's going to change your mind, but in my thirdgens, I've had a dual 12" plate, a couple different dual 12" custom made boxes, a single 10" tube, a 10" in a more standard enclosure and a couple different single 12" enclosures, all built by myself. So when I say that plates suck, I know it from hands-on experience. I also know it because I know how sound waves work and what makes them not work. Something that you obviously have very little understanding of. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight dude.

You install for best buy. That pretty much says it all. I wouldn't let them install fuzzy dice in my car.

I still like the way my dual 15" box sounded

If you really want a plate, you can get them at car audio shops, pre cut and carpeted, and they are like 20 bucks. Plates will not give you optimal output or sq because back there they aren't going to properly isolate the sound waves front/back, they are going to vibrate more, and move with the subs, and the air space left in the well under your plate may not be right for your subs.

You can build a box for what you'd pay for a plate, and it's better for your subs for one thing, and it will sound better too.

just to prove you can get a little extreme:

what about kicker k7's? their 10's displace more air than most 12's
and if you are getting a 12 at the price of a 10, it's going to be a lower quality product and not perform as well!

Don't forget that the L7 10" subs only take up the diagonal area of a 10", but they have the same cone size and mass as a 12". What that means is that they are still going to sound like a 12", but just take up less space.

I myself am waiting to hear the JL W7 subs. I have a feeling 3 of the 10s may wind up in my car.
