Sub Box Ideas and Help Please

Sub Box Ideas and Help Please

Hey right now i've got a box holding 2 10's in my hatch well...its a sealed box on an angle so the subs fire off the glass...what i wanna know is...#1 is there anywhere i else i can put a box besides the well?...i can't take off my t-tops and store them in there proper location w/this box and it weighs a ton so its really hurting me...just wondering if anybody has any ideas on what else i can do w/my 10's...thanks

well you probley don't want to do this, but you could always, take out the two back seats and put subs there, but then you have the problem of only being able to fit you and one other person. just a idea, later

I had the same problems, so i ended up switching over to just a single sub setup.

I used to have an 89 RS with t-tops with two twelves in the back. Have you considered a custom installion? You build a slam board to go straight across the back, it ends up lining up with the ridge around the plastic panels. You build side walls to hold it up and seal it with expanding foam. You can mount the amps inside on the bottom of the hatch. The only problem is that they are hard to tweak cuz you have to keep removing a sub to get at them. Anyways, this is how i had it in my rs and still had plenty of room up top to store my t-tops. The edge of the case will rest slightly on the board but wont cause distortion. Another option is to just carry the t-tops in the case in the back seat, i did that a couple times too. Good luck.
