Front Speakers crackle of just shut off when i pass a certain volume????

They stopped working all together the other day and today i got some signs out of them but only at about 40% and lower volume level. When i go past that they crackle and shut on and off. I wiggled all the wires on the amp and it did nothing so it must be the wires right?? Could they be blown?

I was going to say your speaker was blown, but I doubt both went out at the same time. Check for a short in the wires leading from your amp. Most amps have a circuit to protect them from shorts. Reduced volume, disable, and a crackling sound can all be caused by this. (I know, I've done it!) Try disconnecting the old wire and run some spare wire from the amp directly to your speaker (don't bother routing it yet) This should help you narrow down possibilites. Disconnect those speakers untill you figure it out. You could damage the speakers, but even worse - your amp!!
