Looking for double din bezel
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to swap out the bezel on my 1987 trans am for one that will accommodate a double din. I've seen 3d plans online for a bezel with the checkered pattern. Does anyone on here make/sell them? Alternatively any good suggestions on how to cut the stock bezel cleanly?

Re: Looking for double din bezel
I modified my first one by cutting the stock bezel to fit the double din height and used the pieces i cut to fill in the sides where the DD is not as wide as the factory radio. I have since had some 3D printed and the look is much cleaner. I did still wrap mine as the rest of my dash panels were already done that way.
My other car i used some thin aluminum as the face over the bezel and cut the hole accordingly. this was done primarily to fit the bigger 10" screen but worked very well. Again it was wrapped to hide the mods done to the factory bezel.
I am sure someone on here has some printed for sale if you want the factory checkered look. mine were all just plain printed

Re: Looking for double din bezel
Thank you both! I actually think I found someone who can print with the tron pattern and a glossy finish. I will post it up on the site when I eventually get it installed.

Re: Looking for double din bezel
I placed an order for a double din with the tron design. Should hopefully receive it in a few days was pretty reasonable. Once I take a look at it I'll share here and share the ordering details

Did you ever get the bezel and install it. I would love to see how it turned out. I am going to be doing a double din install in the spring.

Re: Looking for double din bezel
Apologies for the delay all. I received the bezel but the manufacturer screwed up the texture. I have the tron pattern but it should have a glossy finish; instead it has the camaro rough finish. Trying to get this resolved. Again will share some photos etc once i have the right piece.

Thanks for the update. I look forward to seeing the finished install. I want to go double din in the spring on my 87 Trans Am.
