My name is Henry and I am a new owner of old '91 5.7 GTA in Europe.
Its my first post here. Although I have done much reading for a while now.

My car came with an awful aftermarket radio, whish I want to ditch and find used original looking radio, as rest of the car, despite being driven about 250k miles, has survived in very original state.

My problem is that in Europe we also use even FM radio frequencies like 88.8 Mhz. I know that modern US radios will not allow to use those frequencies, but some old analog radios will.

Do you know if original Delco radios for around 1991 Firebirds and Camaros are also blocking even frequencies?
They did certainly sell new European market Gen 3s Firebirds in Europe, so at least some Delcos supported even frequencies.

 

If your car was an export to Europe, then the radio would have been adjusted to process even # .X frequencies. If not then u may have to install an aftermarket radio.

 

My car is original US market car with aftermarket radio. Rest of the car is VERY original, shame that I have to go without original radio that would play my favorite stations.

 

Try looking in Japan (not sure if they have EBay).
GM exported RS Camaros to Japan and they came with option UK1 which would be even frequencies.
It's a long shot, but they do exist.
