Factory radio Audio Aux input

Factory radio Audio Aux input
Hi guys...I want to put the original Delco radio back into my car, but would like MP3,Ipod etc. capabilities. Searches found some tutorials but not for the radio I have. I remember a thread about a TGO member that modified your radio for a fee but I haven't been able to find it again in a search. TIA for any help!
This is my radio

I've seen that one...I can turn a wrench with the best of them but I suck at electronics. I'd like to have mine modified by someone skilled in electronics or buy an already modified one as my radio worked fine and I'd hate to ruin it cuz I don't know what I'm doing

Try this fellow red88tagta on this site. His name is Ron Smith, and he can get your radio fixed up for you.

Other GM HU's will work in our cars. Cadilliac HU's have a fancy trim panel with lots of trim. Otherwise it is the same.

Re: Factory radio Audio Aux input
Looks like a nice upgrade... How much should a stock unit replacement cost, before this upgrade? Someone put some pioneer HU in mine and I'm considering going back to original.. But I'd want an AUX port.

How much does it run to have a jack put into the faceplate?
I want it done to my S10 HU.

Yes the digital read-out is in green. The back lighting for the buttons is red. Sorry for not being clear.

Re: Factory radio Audio Aux input
Thanks, That radio is for a later model than my 86 and is different. I have two of the radios like the one that came in the car. One is the original radio and the other is one that came from a Fiero, which is exactly the same as the Firebird. Both are acting up, with the snap, crackle, pop from the loose solder lugs inside. They can be repaired easily. Right now I am running a rebuilt Monsoon single CD HU that originally came from a 2002 TA. It has the remote CD feature. I have an iSimple interface connected to the HU, that allows connection of a smart phone or similar device through a 3.5 MM jack. I also have a 12 disc remote mounted Pioneer CD player connected to the HU. It works well, but is not stock. The red buttons and red digital display does look great with the rest of the dash. The Monsoon HU is compatible with the Performance Sound amp and subs. The system sounds awesome! Still, I am one of those stock purest people and would like to put the stock HU back in the car.

I forgot to mention the other day that my radio isn't the base model for the Firebird.

Re: Factory radio Audio Aux input
I like the idea and bluetooth connectivity but the price is WAY too high.
I might be a buyer at 200 or less
