No on the IDMax yet (2 IDMax 10's). I'm waiting till I am employed again to get any of my drivers.

I still need all new drivers including Horns, 5's, 8's and 10's as my old ID Chamelion set is trashed from getting tossed around in my storage cabinet for so long.

At the moment I have the old fiberglass Integra box that I built for my wife's old car shoved in the spare tire location with a JL 10 in it just for some sound. So I'm listening to a blown front stage and an obnoxious JL 10w0 on waaaaaayyyy too much power (600w to the single sub)

And I'm happy because it's not dash speakers and an old sanyo shaft radio finally!!!

I'm just picking away at the install bit by bit until I can get the new speakers in.

Actually, I got power and ground connected, and amps are mounted. Thinking about hooking up my old studio drivers just to play with neon placement and see if I have any noise in the system.

Still waiting on my W7 to come in, but I go to the shop Monday to order my front stage !


Looks good Carl, will you have the car at SBN ? I know you're not competing, but I wouldn't mind checking out your install in person.

I'll be there, but probably competing USAC instead of IASCA.

Nah, we'd likely have the Maxima because it's easier to transport the baby in than the firebird.

If it was just a one day there and back, I'd take it...but too much stuff to bring for few day stays.

Why USAC only? Many people do both...

 

well, USAC is starting to grow in my home area, with 3 key events within an hours drive (DC, 2 Carlisles).

Can't afford to compete both, not at $80 each!

I understand all of that all to well. My last system got stolen and the insurance didn't pay for all of it due to me not having all the receipts. But before that I got married and my wife thinks it's kinda nuts to spend money on Car Audio stuff especially since my last system got stolen, but in the house it's ok Anyway saving alittle here and there I'm slowly starting to build up another one.
When I was working on my Amp Rack for my back seat I didn't have any tunes for about 2weeks and I was going nuts. So I didn't do some of the stuff I had planned just so I could get some sound back into my car. Driving 50miles a day everyday to work with a radio was very hard for me to do. It's going to sound great I'm sure when you get finished. I'm hoping to have all ID stuff in my car one of these days. Good luck on finding a job and getting the rest of your system finished. My parents live in East Naples so the next time I come down that way I'd like to swing by and check out your car if you don't mind. John
