From what I know about them, it lets you have complete control of the sub frequency band.

I know it does something to the bass frequencies in old tunes to give them better bass.
It shifts a low bass hit (well, low for old songs) down to the lext lowest resonance frequency to make the song sound like it has more bass.

It will also allow you to dial in "boost" frequencies so you can compensate for your cars natural resonance and cancelations.

I use to think of it as a 30 band AudioControl EQT for subs, because it allows you to tweak every aspect of the frequency range.

Hope this helps even a little .........

Thomas.

I have used one for 3 years now along with my PG ZX 450. This unit will double your bass output with most songs. It especially works well with ported boxes. It is a variable subsonic filter which cuts out bass frequencys below your enclosure's tuned frequency. It will then allow you to boost that frequency where your sub is most efficient. If you have a single sub ported box tuned at 25Hz, you can effectivly boost the output comparable to having a pair of subs. Your bass will also sound better too. You can adjust out any one note boomy bass and tighten it up and/or deepen it.

This little gem is awsome and you will not regret buying one. They cost around $175 to $200 bucks.
