Where's your brain?

I'm moving the brain of my alarm into the dash area somewhere. I'm not too sure where it will fit best though. Who else has done this? Also, the secondary radar(interior) is going under the console, but there's a lot of metal brackets there. How much will that throw it off? As long as the metal stays under and not around, beside or above, I should be all right, shouldn't I?

A good place to install the brain is under the driver's side dashboard, which is another good place to install the valet switch if your alarm comes with one.

The radar, or motion sensor should be placed in the center of the car. You can mount it under or inside of the console and not have any problems.

Actually an even better place is under the dash pad up top. Hard to get to to cut wires should someone break into your car. Just make sure you have backup battery incase they cut the battery lead.
