New GM CD players
I want to put a 4th gen. CD player in my 3rd Gen. Camaro, does anybody have any pics of newer GM CD players in newer cars????? And will it plug into the present wire harness or do I have to cut and wire in new stuff?? I would think that all GM radios have the same rear plugs.
why would you want a GM unit. I don't know how good the 4th gen ones are but i would imagine the aftermarket are better and possibly cheaper new. They do make aftermarket that first the 1.5 DIN slot our cars have.

I know they make ones that fit in the GM hole, I've seen them in summit racing, but I'm not a HUGE Music person so what ever a stock CD/radio can put out thats fine with me and it's only 50 bucks, just want a stock ACDelco look
I put a 93 Z28 Bose CD Player in my 92 Camaro. THe reason I went with the 93 is because it has the yellow lettering to match my interior lighting. If you have an 88-up, the wiring harness will be identical. I have also put a standard, self powered 95 T/A cassette player in my 84 Firebird. You just need to get ahold of a junkyard harness or get one from Metra if you want to put the newer radio in anything older than an 88. They look nice in the dash and give an updated look to your interior. I've done this to both of my F-bods and I love it. In fact, they look so nice in the dash that no one even notices. I don't have pics, but trust me, they look nice.

Well...yes, but that's because my car was originally a Bose system. You are opening a whole other can of worms if you want to add a factory Bose system. I would just recommend getting some good efficient speakers that can run off of a Delco unit, if that is the look that you want. Besides, the 92 Bose system's speakers are not in the dish and sail panels. It is in the kick panels and a locking enclosed hatch cover over the deep well.

Oh ok so what your saying is the Bose Radio works fine as far as fitting and the rear plug that hooks up the power and speakers but I can't use the speakers because of fit, thats fine, I'll just get some Sony 3 way high watt speakers, AS LONG as the Bose radio/CD player fits in place of the ACDelco thats in their now I'm happy.
