hidden antenna?
hidden antenna?
i haven't begun any of the bodywork nor interior, as i'm still concentrating on the motor. but when it comes around, i would like to do away with the factory antenna for a clean look. is anyone using/ having success w/ the hidden antennas? if so, how is the reception compared to the factory antenna? tia...

I've been using the radio shack invisible antenna for a coupla months now... to me, the reception is horrible, but enough for me since I hardly EVER use the radio. If I listened to more of a 50/50 mix between Radio and CD I think I'd shoot myself for removing the busted power antenna.

I had an electronic one in my P/U for 4 years and have no complaints. It gets good reception and doesn't get any annoying buzz or other interferance. Of course mine is mounted right above the rearview mirror on the glass.
I know they make the vipers with an antenna that is in the windshield. You allmost cant see it from farther away since all it is thin wire. If you get real lucky you might find a kit to do it to a camaro.
My spelling is awfull

I've got the radio shack one it's actually very good better than the stock antennea I actually removed the antennea completey and fill in the hole in the the fender...I think the Radio shack one works very well it's all how ya hook it up too there's a ground on the antennea and if you don't ground it good it can give ya bad reception......when the antennea is ground the deck uses your car metel and the small wire supplied as the antennea so it gives it more of a broad band.... I think it looks alot better over stock....but i don't really recommend cutting your old antennea toatally off like i did there was alot of body work after that sometime probably next week I'll post a picture on what it looks like....
