front speakers
i just ordered a pair of rockford 4x6's for the front, and i noticed that the mounting depth on the rockford is 2 15/16", and the camaro supposedly has only 1 3/4" depth. is there anyway i can get the rockfords to fit up front? does anyone know how they sound? im going to rockford all the way around, 4x6's, 6x9's, two punch twelves in the back and probably kick panels that hold 6"s. my deck right now is a panasonic 200u. ill need amps, but what do you guys think of my setup?

i have rockford 6x9's and 4x6's in my camaro. the 6x9's stick out so the tweeters are right up against the sail panels. the 4x6's, you're gonna need to use some spacers to get them to fit. i just used some 1/2" nuts i had laying around, put 1 on each corner, fit great. i don't remember but i think you might need to get longer screws to make the length through the spacers. as far as the sound goes, i think they're pretty good. i don't have subs or a very high power deck, but they should be pretty good in your system.
my rockford 4x6 on the passenger side fit right in, i had to cut a little plastic for my driver, it fit right in then, dont go with cheap amps if you going with fosgate speakers, kinda would defeat the purpose...
kicker, or fosgate...
