Anyone have any idea how much their GOOD head's cost?

 

Last years 55060 was 900 bucks. If you have the stereo shop install it for you with the "ESN" they will give you 1 year theft warranty. I think that the esn is bull**** I had mine stolen and 2 friends had theirs stolen. They gave me a new radio but not a new door! Theifs either don't know about the esn or they know how to get around it or they just sell the radios on the street to dumb people who dont know.

 

so none of the eclipse models have a detachable faceplate?

 

No detachable face. They have a feature where you put in a CD and it becomes the "key" CD. If you lose power, you have to put that CD back in for it to fire back up. Put in a couple of the wrong CDs, and it locks up and you either send it in or on the newer models have to call tech support.

I don't like it, but the shop I worked at seems to sell lots of them. Since Sony went to the high tech bright red display, that is the classiest looking deck they sold.
