which amp? orion or rockford?
im trying to decide whether i want to buy the rockford power 800.4 or the orion xtr800 to power my components and 6x9s. can you guys help me out? the rockford is about $50 less but if its worth the higher price ill get the orion. also up for suggestions on any other amp in the same power range.
thanks
thanks
Can't see you going wrong with any of those amps. They are all good quality. I agree with the gentleman about Kicker also. You won't go wrong with any of those amps.
One thing you may not have thought of: Can all of these amps be fixed under warrenty locally? You may not think that this is important but if the amp crater's after 8 months you may think otherwise if it has to be sent across the country for warrenty.

That's a lot of power for components and 6x9s, but whatever floats your boat I guess. Like they mentioned above, any of those amps will provide substantially more power than any of those speakers will ever need or tolerate, so I'd go with whatever brand is being sold by an authorized dealer that you feel comfortable buying from.

Get rockford, my brother has had three orion amps. 2 of them blew. He's sent them back to orion it's now been two months and they said they haven't started to work on them yet. Go with rockford. Better quality as well as customer service.

I have to agree that they don't make the best head units in the world, but their amps and subs kick butt. TGO Supporter

I'd love to see a Pyramid (or most other brands for that matter) push a 1 ohm bridged load all day long without getting excessively hot.

The pyramid thing! Come on dude, give me a break! My personal opinion is fosgate equipment will withstand a beating much longer than orion. Orion runs much hotter and are not as stable at the lower ohm levels.
I also agree that it is a little excessive on the power. Put the power on the subs.
