Ok guys... I got until Sunday to figure out *i start school monday and wanna sound good pullin up...* I'm replacing the dash speakers next Thursday. Gonna get some Clarion or Pioneer 4x6's for the dash. I would get kick panels but I dont' have the money like I thought I would... Uncle Sam is an @$$ that's all I gotta say lol. I'm taking my Sony Xplod 6x9's back to Circuit City sunday to switch them for either new ones or get some totally different speakers. What are good quality speakers for $120 and less. I can go with a different size... like 6½'s or 5¼'s But I'd rather 6x9 cuz I won't have to make a plate. I'd rather have the LEAST bass I can have in them as possible. But still sound good. I have 2 RF Punch 12's in the back so I have bass lol. Please help and thanks in advance!

for $120 you should be able to get some decent pioneers or some low end cerwins im not shure but best buy near me sells the cerwin 6x9's for $99 on sale and they have a cool warenty that they sell that if you blow em they fix or replace them for a little extra i havent blown mine (yet)

 

Yea...get the pioneers....but they put out a lot of bass. Actually...you should just spend a little more and get the Infinity's.

I've got nothing but infinity in my car and they are super super sounding.
Very clean and crisp!
I've been down the pioneer road and never had liked any of their stuff.
But that depends on what you listen to as well.

If you don't have the money to get Infinity all the way around then get them for the dash.
Trust me on this one.
I've been through Pioneer, Kenwood, JBL and Infinity.

And the Infinity sound simply the best! IMO.

You have to play a little to get them in the dash. Well, on a 91 anyway. I had to cut the tabs which hold the plates in, and add a few washers on the drivers side because the magnet sits on the dash.

But other than that no problems.

 

I would get whatever brand/model you use for the front. Keeping all of the speakers as similar as possible will help it sound better.

Try JBL DS965 6*9's they're pretty good and there only 80 bucks saving you 50 dollars...Somethin to think about they have great mids and highs
