one cannot tell how speakers would sound by specs or types. Try it out and find out.

If it were me, I would not bother.

first of all factory suck. Theres no if and or buts about it. Second you cant judge a speaker by how many watts it handles. Save up and buy infinitys

What brand is the 6"? Pretty much anything is better than factory delco stuff...when I got my car, someone had put what looked like factory Dodge 6x9's in the back. But unless it's a nice speaker, I probably wouldn't bother.

Also don't judge speakers by what other's say...speakers are something you need to really listen to individually. Some like more midbass, some like bright speakers, etc. And another thing, Infinity is good stuff, but they're far from the best. They're somewhere in the middle of the scheme.

Middle of scheme? I wouldnt go that far.
I get what hes saying go to an electronics center and listen to all the speakers and see what you like. Whats best for you from dollars to donuts.

Yeah I'd say they're somewhere around the middle. There's the cheaper stuff (like Pyramid, Boss, etc.), then there's nice stuff (where I'd put Infinity), then competition stuff (Dynadio, Focal, etc.).
I'm not knocking Infinity or anything, their upper lines are really nice, I'm just saying there's alot out there that's 'better' than Infinity.

As much as I usually agree, I actually find the factory 6x9 to be a rather capable speaker when driven with a quality head-unit. Highs that are much better than you would expect and bass output that isn't too awful either.
