What gauge wire should I use? Jim?

I will be running a PPI 2600 at 600 Watts for the front stage and a Rockford Fosgate 800.2 at 800 watts for the 2 12" Subs. This comes out to 233.33 Amps of Current Draw... This is way off the only chart I have.

Will I be safe running 2 gauge to the back and then 4 gauge to each amp from a distribution block? Or do I have to use 1/0 wire from the battery?

All help is appreciated,
Dan

i may be wrong, but my opinion would be 4 to distrobution then 8 to the amps...
MAYBE id run 4 to the Fosgate amp...jus keep all ground wires the same as power...

Well, you'll never actually use 233 amps, because the sub amp will be the only major draw. 2AWG will not be sufficient. You'll need 0 gauge to a distribution, and if the run is short enough, 4AWG from the dist. block to the amps. Start with a 100 amp breaker, and if you keep popping it, step up to a 150.

The run from the Block should be at most 1.5 feet.. the amps are situated right behind the seats and so will the block. You suggest 2AWG from the block? I don't want to skimp it if it's close...

Also, do you guys know a place to get good wire (RCA, power, speaker)? Cheap, of course!

The biggest problem with the dist. block is that if it'll even accept 2AWG on the outputs, you're not going to be able to find a big enough fuse for the amp. I ran into this problem with my stuff. I've got 2AWG to my dist block, then had 4AWG from the dist block to my ZR600, but the biggest fuse I could find was an 80 amp, which I blew very quickly. I finally used 2 outputs from the dist. block and ran dual 8AWG wires to the amp, each with a 50 amp fuse. So far so good, but I'm planning to reposition everything so that the wire length is shorter.

guys... i think i might be screwed.....

i ran 2Gauge to 200Amp circuit breaker, then 2 to the distribution block, each with a 100 amp fuse to each amp, one amp, a jl audio 300/4 and the other a fosgate 800a2...

is this right or do i have to redo?
