Intermittent radio reception.

Ok, Ive had this 89 GTA a couple of weeks now, and when I got it the Radio/Tape (its a stock Delco unit) worked fine. Somewhere on the way to work a few days ago I lost radio reception on both FM and AM, and it didnt come back. Days later I started the car and the radio came on. Somewhere in my journey the FM disappeared again, but I switched to AM and that was fine. A few mins after this, the AM disappeared too, and thats been it since. Note, the tape works fine, never a problem.

I am thinking that maybe the aerial has snuffed it, or some solder joints inside the head have dried and cracked.

Anyone know what this is?

TIA

I took the thing apart, and resoldered all the most likely joints inside like the ant connector etc. The damn thing still decides when its gonna work and when it aint. Anyone got a spare that can be shipped to the UK? :-|
