Got a complete system is this worth what I paid

Heres the deal I had to buy the system with the car, for a extra G-note. Do you think I will be able to get $950 for it? Heres what it has.
ALL ALPINE
Tape deck Head unit/ with CD shuttle controller
6 Disk CD changer
600 watt 4 channel amp
2 200 watt 2 channel amps
Alp. II band digital EQ
2 6x9 2 ways
2 4inch speakers
2 1inch balanced phenol-coated silk dome tweeters
2 inch balanced phenol-coated silk domw tweeters out back
--------------------------------------------
SUBS
2 12 inch JL Audio W3 Subs
--------------------------------------------
Power
Optima Red Top Battery
Multi Battery Solenoid w/4 guage wires running to car bat. and optima bat.
Monster Cable Power Splitter 1 to 4
4 guage wire coming from 2nd battery in and 6 and 8 gauge wire coming from splitter to the 3 amps and EQ
Custom case and Marble Box.

I am gonna ask $950 FIRM for everything listed. No parting out. He said its over $2000 invested in it. U think its true?
heres some pics

You're going to sell it? How come?

It's custom made for your car, so it would be hard to resell it at it's true value. Unless you solid it complete to another thirdgen owner. Even then, it's hard to get somebody to just shell out 950 bucks, complete system or not.

Taking into consideration the labour that went into the installation itself, I'd say you got a pretty good deal. When all that stuff was brand new, it could have been close to $2000. I don't really know the old prices very well.

My vote would be to keep it and maybe buy a new head unit. Unless you're really strapped for cash, I guess.

I would say that all of that equipment is well worth $1k

The Alpine V series amp alone generally is around $400 used in good working condition and roughly $70-100 each on the used w3's...$150 for the Optima Redtop (new)...not sure on the deck and sound field processor/EQ but added in with the rest of the equipment in that deal I'd say $1k is a very good price if it's all in good working condition.

who cares .. kepp it dont turn it up or whatnot, but you could show that off. If your really not happy with it, and TRUELY sure you dont want it .. then it will be hard to look for a 3rd gent aht will buy the whole system. Try taking it apart and selling each piece individually online ex ebay. Good chance you could get everything you want there

He's right, though. It'll be pretty damn hard to unload the system all together, even though that may be the easiest way. You probably would have to settle for less than $1k.

Parting it out on ebay may be your best option.
