my buddy had on in his station wagon and had the local store put it in and when he got a new car he took it out only to find hotglue all over the deck and the radio trim. plus it take a while to load a cd/song, or at least his did.

My Sony HU totally sucks...Not a single good feature that I can think of, but it works fine, but nothing special

Now my Sony Home Reciever in my room, never had a problem with it, perfect for Home Sound Stage, but they just can't seem to work right in the car audio area.

My buddy has an Xplod deck. His first one got stole, so he got another one.

It's pretty good. Can't find anything wrong with it yet.

about three years ago I had the cdxl4000x and within the first month the display started going out. They are crappy quality. I work at circuit city in the car audio section, and it's atleast once a month we change a sony deck out from display because they fail.

My Sony ES deck keeps breaking. Sony used to be good, but their quaility seems to have gone downhill in a big way.

We sold a lot of them where I worked last year. Kept the service department very busy.

I hevent had any problems with mine, yet. I bought mine as a temp to power my Memphis speakers. I'll admit that the MBP (My Best Position) helps with imaging a great deal if you have dash speakers...it adjusts the balance with the touch of a button and back to normal when you have a passenger who doesent want a dash speaker gluing them to the seat. Aslo the 7 ch EQ come in handy if your speakers need some tuning, but with my Memphis' it stays off.

It does seem like an easily broken HU tho. Parts are cheap plastic that could easily crack and the CD's skip easily.

I've personally never owned a Sony head unit nor speakers in my car. But I have owned Sony stereo equipment such as stereo's, Theater speakers, portable cd players and such. The only thing I gotta complain about is there durability. They do make fancy HU's in they way they use the plastics on the HU's though. I like there products but I wouldn't rely to much on there car audio equipment. For that I got a Clarion tape deck which I got back in 99 which works fine and a set of Rockford 6x9's 2 way which have done fine to, also had those since 99 as well with no complaints

I bet all the owners with BAD experiences replied to this post. I had a Sony Xplod CDX-600 for about a year an it was awesome. Then I traded it for an Aiwa CDC-mp32 for the MP3 capability. I didnt like it anymore so I went and bought a CDX-620. It's AWESOME and way better then the Aiwa...

hey, i said i didnt have really any problems with mine. but it was nothing special. my old setup had a kenwood excelon (that got stolen) and then i was stuck with this when i came with the car. it fills the spot in the console, it plays music, but i would not buy one myself. my next deck is going to be the new jvc sh-707 or 909. they do the job, but thats about it. aiwa is just bad news for cars to begin with......

Here is somthing to think about... I have an Alpine that was made in 1995. It still Kicks....no wit does not have the power that the ones today have but i fixed that with a 4 way amp . It takes alot to make that thing skip and All the features work on it and the display still displays fine..... I am gonna but a newer one when I get the money. ALPINE RULES............... :hail:

Lets just say,STAY AWAY FROM SONY CAR AUDIO.Sony makes great home theatre stuff. But thats all they are good at.Sony just started making car audio for the extra cash it would make them.Thet dont even make there own car audio stuff.its made by a totally different company for them!Stick with there home theatre, not there mobile products!
