Yes I tried it... I took my back seats out and built a huge custom box right behind me... I had my 4 15" Rockford Power DVC's pounding at my head... It was crazy! But when I smashed my car up the box was wrecked... I was going to build another but lost the templates and also didnt like the fact that it was a 2 seater, cause than I couldnt bring more than one broad with me...

Damn I thought I was the only one to do this, I didnt mind not having a back seat, less to clean up from messy people.
Anyways I had 4 JL 12W1's, 2 firing up and 2 firing back, little tricky to build the box, and took forever to make it fit right, lot of trial and error, templates helped out. Wish I still had them, this was 4 years ago so. But I was into the Audio thing for a while, then got out and got more interested in Speed. Only audio piece I have from those days is the EQ, just because I didnt want to leave a 1 din hole in my dash, lol.

Sure you could. My first vehicle was a 1984 Mazda PU (when they didn't look like fords). After school one day I drove home myself and 4 lady friends. Okay so I had to say "2nd, 3rd, etc." when I needed the gears to be shifted, but it worked.

for the love of g-d! why would you do that to a poor 3rd gen??? no no no, our cars are too small for a setup like that. you can get a couple of 12s that pound more than enough in our cars. thats the benefit of a hatchback, and it completely was neglected. well is best. but eck, not liking that setup. dont mind my SQ opinion

my friend had a box in his 86 ta that put 2 10's facing each front seat. it didnt sound that good. I might have sounded better if he had put the subs facing a different direction.

Every nut, bolt, joint, rivet or touching metal must have been epoxied so you can hear over the rattles.
