Do i need to rebuild my carb?

lately my car has been running really rough, sometimes dying on turns when i take my foot off the gas. some of my friends have told me i need to buy a kit and rebuild my carb, is this what i need to do? if so, do yall have any tips ? thanks

Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
The first thing to do is to make sure you don't have an ignition problem. Check or replace plugs, wires, cap, rotor, perhaps even the coil. Check compression when you have the plugs out. Make sure all vacuum lines and what they connect to are in good shape. Running rough is indicative of a cylinder or two not firing right, which typically isn't caused by the carb.

When you've eliminated all of those areas, then consider the carb.
