Has anyone setup a functional cowl induction/pan?
Has anyone setup a functional cowl induction/pan?
I was just wondering if anyone has made a sealed pan to make their cowl induction work better w/ the carb setup and if anyone has pictures. thx.

I'm pretty sure CrapsT/A was looking to do this, but with his RamAir hood. I know he was buying parts... now if he'd just get off his fat lazy butt and do it!
I don't know how far he's got on it... I plan on doing it too with the cowl type hood when I get one. I think Summit sells the metal pan and foam stuff.

Check out products from Air Inlet Systems (ramairbox.com). They make a kit designed to hook your air cleaner (typical 14" or 10" open element) to a cowl induction hood. THe price is right, too- around $150. I have one and it's a high quality fiberglass piece. Just expect to spend some time getting it to clear the distributor, etc.

I am planning on using my dual snorkel setup for my carb'd motor. I am going to use the top, and bottom of an air cleaner and fabricate a oval tube to connect the intake tube to the top and base of the air cleaner. I have 2 K&N's for the factory dual setup, so I wont need an open element. Not cowl induction, but creative and cheap.
