750 D.P. Jetting-consensious

Okay,
I have a 350, Vortec heads with a little port work, RPM Intake, Shorty headers, 11:1 CR, Xtreme Roller-230*/236* @ .050-.510"/.520", 106* centerline, Explosive HEI dist., Holley 750 D.P.
My question is: What are some of you running for jet sizes that maybe just have the 750 carb. on a dis-similar engine? Right now I have 69/73.

Thanks,

Every engine is different, every car is different. Time to go to the track for some tuning if you want the max power.

------------------
350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, current red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

This is true. But if I could get an idea of where to start, maybe what I have now is too big, or to small, ideas from others would help. And the closest track is 70miles away. I don't have a lot of time to go there. The back roads work better for me!!!

Thanks,

Look at my sig for setup. I am running 66/74 on my 770 Holley STreet Avenger. Your plugs would tell you alot as how your engine is running.

Several companies make reasonably priced A/F gauges that use a stock O2 sensor. They're an invaluable tuning tool....pick one up and go from there.

Bigblock454engine,

How has the street avenger carb treating you, i have a 355, performer manifold, headers, 224/224 at .05, similar mods but i have a stock q-jet of a 74' suburban thats gettin in bad shape, lookin for an upgrade...

i'm lookin at the street avenger 770 carb by holley... how do they perform, are they really the next gen carbs like they claim, just wondering how you like it??? how does it compare to the 750dp...

thanks

Sorry I didn't respond any sooner to your question Chrome(to much overtime at work). Honestly I would say that a regular 750 Holley (less expensive) is the way to go. You can buy the metering block and quick change kit yourself and save some money. I had a 750 before the Street Avenger and comparing the two I noticed zero difference. I would recommend a 750 holley vac secondaries.
