need your opinion on a carb for a 327cu

I got a 67 327cu it currently has a Holley 600 4bbl vaccum secondary.I just got the car a few months ago and everything was already done so I don't have x-act spec but..It has a pretty radical cam, holley intake,HEI.ignition, newer GM heads(for fuel reasons),headers. Here's the argument half say get a 750cfm double pump, then the other half say get a Edelbrock Performer 600cfm machanical secondary. The ones that say get the 750 say the 600 will never feed it enough fuelat high RPM'S,the one that say go with the 600 say the 750 will drown it out.Myself I'm more of a TPI man,I know little about carbs as far as what size I need to please this motor. So I thought I'd let some of you guys put in your .02 Sorry about the lack of specs on cam and heads but.I didn't put them on

I'd say either a Holley 750 vacuum secondaries or DP....thats kind of a tough call on a motor like that. Forget the Edelcrap completely.

What cam do you have in there?

Don't have specs on cam.All I can tell you is it sounds very lumpy. The higher the RPM'S the harder it seems to pulls.

On a big cammed, fast revving motor like that..I'd say go with a 750 DP.

I would personaly not go with a 750dp a 650dp would work great or a larger cfm vac secondary carb would work great also. Leave the 750dp for a built 350 or BB.

I would go with 650 or 700... 750 if you really don't care about mileage... I have had absolutely no problem with Edelbrock... The carb just bolted in and hasn't needed adjustment since... the only thing that bugs me is that I can't hook up the charcoal canister... I'm gonna be putting on a vette carb anyhow, quadrajets, edelbrocks, demon and holley are all good... just don't buy new q-jets, thats what ebay is for...
