We just did it on my brother's 89 RS a couple weeks ago.We put on an Edelbrock RPM manifold,Edelbrock 4bbl carb(650 cfm,I think),Accel distributer and coil, and switched fuel pumps from electric to mechanical. It wasn't too hard of a swap.A lot more power in the mid to high range.Still having problems with it bogging and stalling when floored from a dead stop though.

my engine would bog down too, but there was alot of shortcuts done when the previous owner did the changeover. The 700r4 to th350 swap helped but it would still stall or bog down, maybe the electric feul pump or something, I'll find out if the engine does the bogging down when it gets back from the machine shop it is the pump, because everyhting else has been replaced. Overall though, i am not trying to put down a tbi to carb swap, but know what you are doing and have some money for little things, they add up quick, trust me. But if it runs right, you will get alot more power out of the carbed engine

I went from TPI to carb, other than wiring issues, it worked great. Car runs pretty damn good too.

I just posted about my experience with this upon completion of this tonight. I couldn't be happier. The work is not hard, just be sure you concentrate on and do one thing at a time and do that one thing right. When you're done, you will be happy.
