It will flow somewhere between about 500 CFM to 750 CFM. Look in the tech articles on this board (start at www.thirdgen.org, look for the tech articles link on the left margin). It explains why this condition exists and what to do about it.
Your manifold and cam don't come into play in selection of a new carb because changing the carb is a very poor performance decision for dollars spent. Your factory CC carb needs only minor and inexpensive tuning to make it a screamer.
Avoid the "carb swap" sirens and be smart about your performance modifications.

five-seven, i have another question related to the Q-jet. which are the absolute richiest secondary rods? i am currently using DR rods and i know those are good, but are the richest. i also have a set of CV rods, which i have been told are also very rich. i need as much fuel as i can get for my secondaries. thanks again.
ok, i could tweak with the carb i have but is it really worth it to soup up a 305? I am getting very confused and frustrated with what my mechanic buddies are telling me. Its getting to the point where i want to order a crate 350, drop it in, and not wory about it.
been a long day under the hood, sorry
