What's your total timing? That is the advance you get at high RPMs with the vacuum advance disconnected.
Seems like it should have more power. You're barely under my corrected times with just a 305 and 2.93 gears. Your cam specs look like my Crane. Did you do anything to the heads, or just bolt them on? Where did you shift?

perhaps the carb and intake are abit over kill for that motor with the cam that is currently in it. how is the low end power and throttle response?

That's a major giant mismatch. No amount of fiddling with the timing, or even the EGR, is ever going to make it right.
You have a race car intake and a grocery cart cam. They are working against each other. At any RPM where the cam would be effective, the intake is killing it; but by the time you get the RPMs up to where the intake is in its zone, you're long past the cam's power band.
Either put a cam in it with at least 20° more .050" duration, or get a dual-plane intake. ABout the biggest intake you should even think about considering with that cam is a RPM. Which thing you should do depends on what's more important to you: speed, or streetable economy.

i was told that the intake would help me on the upper rpm range even though the cam wasnt advertised out that far. i want speed its mainly a drag car ii do take it to cruise shows and stuff though so i still want streetability ya know?

like RB83L69, said you are gonna either need a bigger cam or a dualplane intake to make that car run right and produce the power it should. i would go with a bigger cam. looks like you have the rest of the parts needed to support a much bigger cam.
