Running rich on choke how to lean?
I put new plugs in the car this morning in my attempt to tune the carb. It is running VERY rich. I started the motor and after it came off of choke the plugs were fouled out so bad the timing light would not fire. Is there a way to lean the choke circuit? I dont know much about carbs so any help would be helpfull!!! The motor is a stock 350 with a 700r4 the carb is an off the shelf 0-80508S with vac 2nd and eletric choke Keith

when i start my car in the morning it idles at 1200 perfect, then i go inside and coem out in 2 mins and its at 1800-2000. whats could this be??
my car does that when i first start it for the day. i pump the pedal 3 times and fires right up and goes to about 1500 and then it stops at 2200 rpms and i wait for 10mins (thats when the car is full warmed up and ready to run) and give the gas a very little rev and it falls down to its 700rpm range and im good to go.

I pump mine twice, it starts and then stalls. I do this usually three times before it works right. It will fast-idle at 1500-1800 rpm.
Today I loosened the three screws on the choke housing and rotated the black part to the left. I'm hoping this will help it out.
Anyway, left is to richen it and right is to lean it out. Simple really, but getting it just right is the challenge.
