Does the green wire always mean electric choke? I have a green wire in the engine bay of my 1981 TransAm, and I have yet to hook up the choke yet, actually.. I have yet to re-install the front fenders and nose too, but that's another post.

Not always, I believe the coolant temperature sender has a green wire also. It's the connector that gives away the choke wire.

MyPurple92rs, you are ***. I was about to ask if I could use my stock electric choke wire on my new Eldeldbrock. BTW we have the same carb. I hope you have good luck with yours. I plan on starting mine by monday!!

PS: What motor did your car come with stock? Because I have that same exact wire in my car. And my stock motor was a LG4.
(Just thought it was ironic that we prolly had the same stock motor and have the same aftermarket carb....):lala:

hey thirdgenstoner u dont need a 750 cfm carb on ur lg4 motor. thats too much for that motor. i know becuz ive asked before and people told me go with the 600 cfm and id be happier with it. and if ur motor is stock then the 750 is way too much for it and all ull be wastin is time and money.

Does that green wire that hook up to the Choke depend on the Computer to operate or is just a hot lead wire. I have disconnected the computer from my car and my Avenger Carb has the electric choke.

No, it's just hot anytime the ignition is turned on. It might also require that there be oil pressure present to send current. There's a relay for it and a fuse and other stuff- it's more complicated than earlier non-computer controlled QJet setups. However, despite the added complexity none of that is hooked to the ECM or requires input from the ECM to operate.
