yet another rods and hangers question

Are CK rods leaner or richer than DRs? by very much?

Will a B hanger with CK rods make a noticable difference in a stock lg4?

thanks,
phil

the B hanger and some good rods will definetly make a difference on a LG4. as for the CK rods beening richer than the DRs...

CK rods have a longer power tip and the power tip has a smaller diameter than DRs, making the CK rods richer at WOT.

DRs have a smaller diameter through the straight and tapered sections of the rods. meaning they will be richer at part throttle.

DRs are very good all around rods. i have them in my car right now, but i am going to try my set of CKs at the track to see if they help.

I use the CK and B combo on my LG4. Definately made a difference over my stock combo.

i used the ck rods and b hanger and i noticed a huge difference. The difference came in the acceleration. Before, i would step on it and it would take a sec before i would accelerate...But with the ck/b combo, throttle response has greatly improved.

Besides...the CK rods and B Hanger combined is only like a $10 dollar investment...and installation is a breeze...If ya don't like them you can change them out in about 10 minutes...

oh, by the way, if you have any older q-jets around and are using the stock q-jet on there with the little torx screw that holds the hanger in, replace it with the small flathead screw used on older q-jets, it will make it easier and quicker to change the rods and hangers in the future. it will save you digging around for a the right sized torx bit. i have quite a few torx bits and i still dont think i have the right one for that little screw. i used vice grips to get it out. i replaced it with the little flat head screw. now i can use a coin if i dont have a screw driver.

thanks for all the responses!

If the CKs are richer I don't want the stock lg4 to smoke a lot when I punch it. What has been your experience?

No smoke for me. Make sure you're tuned properly though.
