choke went out

my choke went out on the cc qjet. can you guys tell me what i need to do to fix it?

I wouldn't think you'd need a choke in Mesa Is there power getting to the choke housing?

surprisingly, i do . I think there is still power going to it, i'll have to check. Also, can i just get a new one? I heard something about getting a new cover so that it's adjustable? Just throwin out ideas

Does the butterfly go shut when the engine is cold and the throttle is tapped? Does it go shut but not open up when the engine warms up? Which way does it "not work"?

actually, the butterfly doesn't shut at all

That could be gummed-up or jammed choke linkage, or a broken choke thermostat bi-metal spring.
