4 barrel carb

so I got my friends old carb that he had on his firebird. He gave it to me so he could put his new engine in that he got for 200 bucks. It came with a 2 barrel carb so he'll save gas. So is there anyway to make mine any better? horsepower or anything?

Most likely the stock carb on your car is more than enough for max power, but we'd need to know what carb he gave you exactly.

Q-jets were typically better on gas than the 2bbl Rochesters.

OK, so far so good, so he had the LG4 motor, and now you have the carb from it.

Now, what motor do you have, and what carb is on it?

Telling us these minor details will help get the right answer.
