Carb conversion questions

I know pretty much nothing about these TBI/TPI engines. Anyway my question is this: if I sell all the TBI stuff and slap a carb on there I basiclly have a meat and potatoes 350 without all the electronics, TB,etc? Also besides being easier to tune what other advantages would I see from making this change? What would I need to uy and how much can I expect to get by selling all of the TBI parts? As I said I am a newb and any help will be appreciated.

hint for selling TBI stuff..

while its not very popular with the go-fast-car crowd, offroaders love it since you can go at extreme angles (or even upside down) and it still sprays fuel just fine....

so when you goto sell the TBI setup, dont hack up the wiring, and post the complete setup for sale on 4x4 boards.

Meat and potatos is good!

I LOVE opening the hood and not seeing a bunch of sensors and wires all over and if i have a problem with the car its generally easy to figure out. NOTHING like the fi setup on my v6.

I sold the TPI stuff from my v8 for $200, i sold the ECM for $50. I did not have the wiring harness, if you do you could probably get more.

I'm with you man I hate all those electronics and fuel injection crap. Is it much easier to make power when you have the carb setup as opposed to the TBI setup? Thanks for your info so far

Easier? I think so. You dont have to worry about burning chips etc all the sensors. Swaping injectors . I know its def cheaper.
