i've been told that it was possible. cause my ECU is all screwed up and the choke isn't opening. it's running rich. not just cause of the choke casue if the choke opens it's still rich. is thie a way to unplug the cc and set it up like a normal carb

why not just fix the choke instead of compensating for it by messing with what you shouldn't? Not trying to sound like an ***, but take it from me, I have learned already that the ECM will NOT put up with any manual adjustments to the mixture screws. If you do mess with them, and are suddenly like wow, the car runs great now. Well, just wait till you shut it off and start it back up 15 minutes later. Good luck keeping it running.
Seriously, just get a rebuild kit for your carb, they cost like 20 bucks or so. At least try a new choke, i think your looking at maybe 40 bucks for a new one from any auto parts store.
Edit, you say even with the choke open it still runs rich? Just rebuild the carb. Problem is lying somewhere in the worn parts, i guarentee it.

well thats not true then. cause the carb has about 150 miles on the rebuild. and it's runnign rich do to signle the temp sensor is giving it and other sensor that are haywire. and think the engine is cold and lean. so my shop teach has told me but he doesn't know if i can manully adjust the a/f ratio so thats waht i was asking.

Even the best mechanics can go wrong. I know, i am one too, and work with them every weekday. bottome line is you DO NOT mess with them two mixture screws on these type of carbs. They are preset to work with the computer and the mixture control solenoid. Something is still wrong with that carb i would say.

Gotta disagree with the post about NOT adjusting the "Screws on the bottom"... ( mixture screws )...
There are tools made for specifically adjusting the Mixture control solenoid, TPS, etc etc and all these MUST be adjusted / checked when you tear a CCC Q-Jet apart to rebuilt it.
A CCC Q Jet has a TPS, this tells the ECM how much the throttle is opened. The mixture control solenoid controls how rich / lean the mixture is, and it adjust things based on the reading from the O2 sensor that the ECM gets.
Also, the vacuum break more than likely needs adjusted, as probably the Secondary Air valve as well.
Mash the throttle to the floor and it's just a plain old musclecar era Q-Jet...not ECM intervention...
I've personally built / driven more than a few CCC Q-Jet cars over the years.... 2 of 'em were easy 13 second cars w/ pretty mild motors....the 3rd was a low 12 second car...all with a "crappy" ECM and a "crappy" Quadrjunk CCC Q-Jet...
go over to www.montecarloss.com they used to have some pretty good tuning write ups and explanations on the CCC Q-Jet.
