vacuum leak, crazy tach
i posted alrady in the general tech area, but they said to come ask you guys. well, my car's tach needle is bouncing, and reading the engine speed incorrectly. when i press the gas slightly the tach needle goes up, but not the engine speed. usually when going 70mph on the highway it reads about 2k rpms. now, its reading 2300-2400 rpms and is shaking. coudl this be a vacuum leak on my stock lg4? or could it be somethign else. if it is a vacuum leak. where are the hoses that would be suspect?

I'd be checking your connection to the distributor, and the tach filter located on the fire wall. Its the small cylinder shaped thingy ma bobber the tach wire from the distributor goes to.

well, the thing is, is that the engine does shake pretty bad at idle. i'm sure its shaking when i'm moving, but its hard to tell over the stock suspension.
