cold air
I was thinking about rigging up a cold air intake using stock TPI airbox and some kind of hat or bonnet on top of 4bbl carb. Has anybody successfully done this? Any tips appreciated!!
Thanks in advance.

Can't remember how long ago, but somebody had a picture of one using a large single snorkle pointing straight forward to meet the TPI cold-air. I don't recall if they used a regular filter element in the air cleaner base or the TPI planar filters.
The "regular" TPI system that went to the front of the radiator would only flow 500 CFM or so - or maybe it was the TB that limited it.
At any rate, the "regular" dual snorkel setup is probably better.
