Possible dual snorkel air cleaner source

I was working on an 86 dodge 4x4 today with a 360. The motor has a quadrajet carberator stock, and comes with a dual snorkel air cleaner. Air cleaner seems to be low profile and the snorkels are large rectangular units. Beings it was on a customers rig, and i didnt have my formula at work, I couldnt test fit it. But it looks like it could be an alternative to the l69 air cleaners.

Just something to keep an eye out for on junkyard runs. If I get a chance I'll test it, but dont forsee that happening.

Take a look on Ebay, see if you can find a pic of a similar one. If you do, post it, so we know what to look for

Corvettes also had a dual snorkel back when, but it did require some modification to work properly on a third gen.

The late '70s used the same base as the L69, bit different lid.

Early ones (think LT-1) were different. They were dual snorkel, but with smaller snorkels. They look like they aren't too small though, so they should breathe fine. They also fit on a DP-style carb and hold a 14" filter too IIRC. They were also used on the Z-28 with the LT-1 motor.

One thing to watch out for is HEI clearance. If you have a large cap HEI, a lot of air cleaners don't have the dimple required to clear it.

Yes, we know about them.

This thread was about possible junkyard resources we may not have considered previously.
