Many people have done it, at least something similar.

Holley makes some studs to mount the throttle cable. You can search for them on www.summitracing.com , for instance.

What did you do about the distributor? Unless this is a Canadian car, it will have to change (unless you want to do some creative PROM tuning).

If you switch to a non-cc carb, you need a non-cc distibutor.

it is part number HLY-20-95 on summitracing.com

it is what i used to hook up my throttle cable and TV cable on my holley

the throttle goes in the top one and the TV goes in the bottom....and it bolts right up to the base plate on your holley carb..... hopefully this helps....

yes i have already installed one. im waiting on the nut that holds the kickdown on the throttle.

the vacuum that come out of the rear right side of the carb, where the EGR is mounted on the manifold. is that where the power brake vacuum hose goes?

sorry if this sounds stupid, first time to do any big changes on my own.

Did you mean distributor?

Summit has a new HEI for something like $140-150. You can get used for less. I'd recommend new, since it will have a good coil & module.

That's not a typo, that's a brain fart.

http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...6&autoview=sku The black cap versions have aluminum terminals, red & blue have brass.

Brass tends to work better and last longer.
