what do you think of this combo

ive got this engine and tranny built sitting on the stand about to go into my 91rs.
383 stroker, 4 bolt main, 10.89:1 cr.
edelbrock performer rpm heads, hs 1.6 roller rockers.
performer rpm intake.
cam: duration @ .006" 308i/318e
duration @ .050" 234i/244e
lift .488i/.510e
hei distributor.
holley 750 double pumper with mechanical secondaries.
t56 6 speed. 3.08 peg leg rear end(will change as soon as possible).

is the 750 dp too much carb for this? what gear ratio would you advise for this setup as a street/strip driver? thanks.

The carb will be marginally large enough.

Gears: 4.10's or 4.56's.

i agree...carb will be about right, or go larger the 950 hp is nice but pricey. also 4.10s or larger gears and just run 28" slicks as needed if mph is overshot with 26" tires. the 28s should be good for another 7-8mph at the top end if you run out of RPMs
