Is your carb electronic.Is the ing ON,but the eng OFF when this happens.What you hear may just be the M/C soleniod.When exactly does it do this?
Its make the ticking noise when the key is in the on position..............

Wow this question gets asked like once a week here. That is the sound the mixture control solenoid makes. It is NORMAL.
When it doesn't make a ticking noise, let us know and we'll help you fix it.
