why does my quadrajet make a ticking noise

Engine: 355 or 5.7
Transmission: th 700 r4
Axle/Gears: stock
why does my quadrajet make a ticking noise
Does someone now the answer to this?????????

Is your carb electronic.Is the ing ON,but the eng OFF when this happens.What you hear may just be the M/C soleniod.When exactly does it do this?

Its make the ticking noise when the key is in the on position..............

Wow this question gets asked like once a week here. That is the sound the mixture control solenoid makes. It is NORMAL.

When it doesn't make a ticking noise, let us know and we'll help you fix it.

Your mixture control solenoid cycels 10-50 times a second. This is a good thing.

As stated above its suppose to do this.If you leave the Ing on.After about 1 minut or so it stops.This is normal though.
