hey guys!!
I rebuilt my comp controlled Q-jet but still runs way rich, drilled out mas plugs to adjust idle\mixture,air idle bleed etc..way too many variables as far as tuning this sucker to perform right. What is the pro's and con's as far as converting to TBI?Any substantial performance gain, potential to put out more horse power,MOD's etc...Or does Edelbrock sale a carb that I can swap with the ole Q-jet and still pass California's outrageously ridicoulous smog standards?I am gettin a bit disgusted with the ole "BOG and Sputter" my Q-jet performs like when ya hit the gas. When I hit the gas all I wanna hear is the tires turning not "cough, cough"pop, bog and sputter! and seeing the 3 cylinder GEO METRO blowing past me at the green light.....LOL......

Don't give up on the CC q-jet carb. The idle mixture screws should be set back to factory specs(I believe it's 2 1/2 turns out, but I'm not sure), and so should the air bleed. Make sure you have the float assembly installed correctly, that part is a little tricky sometimes and can cause the car to run rich if you don't have it correct. Give us some symptoms so we can help you. Why did you re-build the carb in the first place?
