Carb gaskets

Hi just bought an Edelbrock Performer RPM Q-Jet intake, and a Rochester Q-jet.

I bought this gasket for it: Mr. Gasket 4200 Series Carburetor Base Gaskets: MRG-4256G - summitracing.com

I'm concerned this may pose a problem on the open style intake plenum of the RPM. However, The Open style gaskets I tried don't quite 100% fit the RPM Q-jet intake. Anyone have any advice.

That's a squarebore gasket you linked, the q-jet is a spreadbore.

I searched their site for carburetor base gasket, then spreadbore, and had about a dozen hits.

If you're that worried about it and don't have a high profile air filter, you can always get a spacer....

I would think you'd be better off with an open style, 1/4" thick type. Search the Summit site for "spreadbore base gasket", and a few will come up.
