air cleaner

is there any easy way to make my stock air cleaner setup (84 tramns am) work on an edelbrock performer carb

Why wouldn't it work? Far as I know, the only mainstream 4bbl carbs that don't work with the stock air cleaner is the dual-feed Holley...?

you can try a stock 1" air cleaner base spacer

find them on vans and some other vehicles,

i save them anytime i find them on vans and such that im stripping out

Doesn't Edelbrock make a low-profile fitting for that?

There is a banjo fuel fitting available, summit part # EDL-8089, $11.

I had to use their banjo fitting when I had the eddy to clear the open element.

Neat little sucker, wouldn't hurt ya any, even if you didn't need it for the stock application.

i bet this air cleaner might work without modifying anything, or maybe not, i dont think ive ever tried it on an edelbrock carb,
hehehe
