what intake? PLEASE HELP!
I'm swapping a carbed 350 for my lo3 in my 92rs. The engine I bought from a guy at work was already built includind edelbrock carb and victor jr intake. It doesn't look like the victor jr will fit under the stock hood.
What would you guys run on a 355 with aluminum heads at 11:1 compression with an additional 150 to 200 shot of nitrous and fit it all under the hood for those guys who think the rs is SLOW? How do I find out if the victor jr fits? Should I pull the stock one off one day and lay the victor jr on top of the engine and try to close the hood?
Any help greatly appreciated!!

Yes you can do that to test the fit. If i remember right the vicjr will fit under stock hood. When testing remember the nitrous spacer plate will raise the carb about 1/2 an inch to 1 inch depeding on what plate you get.

Well, the plate and everything is already hooked up to the intake. I have a 14x3 open element on the stock engine now, I guess that will have to go when I swap. Maybe a 14x2 or something?
Oh yeah, the car is a weekend warrior. I don't take it to the strip often and it only gets about 30 miles a week. I want something fairly reliable and it has to support power brakes.

The intake doesn't affect vacuum. The cam does. What cam does it have in it?

One thats going to be changed!
All I know about the cam is that it has .690 lift and was used strictly for the track. When I get the afr aluminums to put on there I will get a cam to match those heads and prolly sell the iron eagles, cam and lifters that are in there now. The iron heads are 56cc and yield 14:1 compression. The afr's with 76cc combustion chambers will back it down to 11:1 so I can run pump gas. This will be a street weekend warrior that rarely sees track use so I will probably change the intake anyway as I have read that it makes power form like 3000-7000 rpms and this is probably a little higher than I should go..... Or I could be wrong. Feel free to chime in, thats why i'm here.

get a performer RPM, and sell your vic JR as well. More suited to your powerband, won't kill your low end, and is shorter.
