dangerous air filter

is this air filter to dangerous? and does this air filter catch on fire often?

I had one a long time ago.... the foam melted and got burnt after only a few weeks.... this filter is a bad product. Flows no better than a K&N and looks retarded.

those things are terrible,the foam breaks appart and drops into your carb.

I've had bad experiences too- stay away! One good backfire and you're in flames.

They are for show cars, for the reasons given. Even when they aren't flaming and melting, they don't breathe nearly as well as a factory dual snorkel or a 14x3 open air cleaner.

They work just fine IF you remove the foam. Then remove the metal screen. Then remove the lower part of the housing. Then replace it with a 14x3 drop base open-element air cleaner.

lol true. I had one of these, HORRIBLE! Foam Breaks apart, catches on fire, clogs carb. Horrible Product
