engine stalling
I have a 92 camaro with a 73 350 4bbl performer rpm intake, 750 edelbrock,solid lifter camfreshly rebuilt.
when i push on the brake pedal idle goes up,has a bad hesitation problem under acceleration, and blows smoke out of exhaust under acceleration,
almost sounds like pinging,or dieseling under accel.
any help would be greatly appreciated, first time posting,a newbie

Ok, first things first, if you hit the brakes and the idle goes up, that screams to me that you have a vacuum leak somewhere between your carb and power brake booster.
I think on your edelbrock it's like the stock q-jet, such that there's a metal line at the back of the carb, going to a bracket on the intake manifold, going to a rubber line, going to a 1 way valve, going to the power brake booster.
While idling, have someone hit the brakes, and listen for a hiss of a leak. Hopefully it's just the rubber line or the 1 way valve, those are easier and cheaper than replacing the power booster.
So try that first, and see if it clears up any other problems. After that i'd check your timing at 3000RPM to verify you're in the ballpark, along with checking it at idle speed. If those are fine then i'd move on to carb settings.
