pointless?
since i have a 305 h.o. with the dual snorkle, is it pointless to have my cowl hood on there? since theres no open element, or should i keep it on, im just affraid its adding unnecessary weight

Somewhat, if you don't need it for clearance. I doubt it could weigh much more than a stock hood, though.

Ditto on keeping your underhood temps down...something you will learn to appreciate if you start making mods like headers.

Put one of these toppers on the air cleaner assy and have the best of both worlds.
