TBI to CARB - Kickdown/Thorrtole cables *NEED HELP*
TBI to CARB - Kickdown/Thorrtole cables *NEED HELP*
So I swapped out my TBI intake and TB for a edelbrock 1406 carb and edelbrock performer intake the problem I have now is getting the cables hooked up i know i need this adapter:

the bracket kit i bought doesn't work (it sets the cables to far back) and im getting frustrated what bracket kit do i need to hook up my throttle cable and 700r4 kick down cable? Or do I need different cables other then the TBI cables i have on the car? any help would be greatly appreciated

I used the Edelbrock 8030 throttle bracket. I believe I had to redrill a hole or two to get everything just right. But it's a very sturdy bracket, nice chrome finish, and very adjustable - it will hold the throttle cable and the TV cable, and I think you could add the cruise cable in as well (with a cruise setup from a carbed car).

i just used the cheapy autozone bracket and redrilled the holes to put it where i needed it... its really easy to do just hold it in place and mark your holes.

I went from tpi to an edelbrock 750, and I bought the cheap *** mr. gasket bracket from O'reillys. It set the throttle cable too far back, so I just cut the sleave around the cable so that it had enough play to fully open the throttle.

just get an old bracket off a nova or somthing, it bolts to the intake and makes your **** go back enough to fit right

Get a bracket off of a carb'd 3rd gen.
The one I have available is for a TH200C, which I don't believe is the same as TH700. I'll try to look at both tonight and let you know.
