Throttle cable help (with pics)
So iv orderd about 5 diffrent Throttle cables and nothing seems to fit right.
the only thing i have done is swap from TBI to carb and im running a a braket that bolts to the the back of the carb stud everything else works great but the Throttle cable here is whats wrong with my stock TBI cable (pic)
its binding....
the other cables i have had...
the bottem cable has the clip i need the other is a cable i havnet returned
and is a tad to short and doesnt fit the firewall becuse the clips to small and the round part goes thorw the whole in the firewall
----------
does anyone know if theres at least a carb cable with the firewall clip i need? or have parts numbers? any help would be great

A stock '82-'87 carb V8 cable should work.
I've got one I'm not going to be using, but it's missing one locking tab on the engine bracket end.

Re: Throttle cable help (with pics)
one approach would be to make a clip for the firewall, and the clip would then keep the cable from backing through the firewall. I wonder if maybe the metal clip that commonly comes with a stock air filter breather would work. I mean the ~3 inch X ~ 1.5 inch plastic holder that is used with a stock carb air cleaner comes with a metal clip, I this clip holds the plastic air filter breather "cup" in place.

Re: Throttle cable help (with pics)
I had a problem with the BTO TV cable bracket. I had to cut a piece of steel and move the bracket where the throttle cable snaps in.
